Who is a racer on here? I want to start a career in racing, but I have no idea where to get started or how much it cost. But I love open wheel racing, and its my life. It has also been my passion to be a race car driver. I look up to AGR and the women drivers. Can anyone help me find a good way to start out my career and which type of kart I should get into please. thank you :]]

Most individuals who want to try and pursue a career in racing usually start off in go-karts and work there way up from there. As far as where exactly to start, I honestly could not tell you. Topkartgirl would be a good person in this site to talk to and get information from.

I once did alot of competitive racing,but that was before my career ending big wheel accident.

$$$$$$$$$$ I raced for 7 years, won 8 championships, nearly 50% of my races, and was still required to bring $$$ to run F-BMW. So I will start there by saying, find funding before diving in too deep, although you already hold one glaring advantage over me as you are a female. To put it simply I was as close as one can be to turning professional until I had a bad accident. I will gladly give you any and all help/info I can...but for the sake of keeping this post a readable length send me a PM.
