Bummer. That track is carnage central. Teams would be smart to field back up cars. With good, big super speedway ovals going wanting, why they insist on a bullring suited for midget racing, I'll never grok. Reggie, Thanks for your blog. I bookmarked it for future visits.
I think Richmond is a fine track, and the racing has the potential to be very good there. The problem this year wasn't with the track, but with the drivers. Too many of the drivers were making extremely risky and ill-advised moves, especially on restarts.
I will agree and disagree at the same time. This year's Richmond race showed a lot of drivers making bonehead moves, but I think the series would benefit with a larger oval instead.
richmond is a good little track and i'm glad its staying. this years race was a carnage fest cause of too many rookies on a short oval. simple as that.
