I don't think there should be any problem with the former CCWS guys running on road courses in IndyCars. Oriol Servia ran 2 laps over 114 mph. Better than any IRL guys. It's understood conditions may not be the same, but, on the road courses, I think they will be more than able to hold their own
The ovals will be more than interesting. But, I think most of those guys will be in the hunt there, too. Definitely they will be more than moving roadblocks (aka Milka).
Yea I definitely agree with your prediction cox. The champ car drivers who were testing at SEbring all have very respectable road course backgrounds: more than half of the drivers have at some time or another had Formula 1 experience. SO yes i defnitely agree that the road course races will be exciting this year because many of the champ car drivers will be able to hold their own against the indycar regulars... But then again it is just testing lol.
They were saying there was a lot of rubber from the 12 hour race there from the weekend. But, I have no doubt they will be right there for the wins on road and street courses. Drivers are much bigger part of the equation on road/street courses.
