The 2011 IndyCar Schedule is being announced Friday at the Milwaukee Mile.  Hope that's a sure sign the Mile is on the 2011 schedule!

That is confirmed... presser is at 11 AM at the MM... great news on a 1 mile track coming back to the schedule.

Hopefully they can get Vegas on board as well
Seems I should be more excited about this, but frankly, if this means losing Chicagoland (as it obviously does) it's more bittersweet than sweet. I live in Milwaukee, and as a homer obviously want to see my local track (15mins away) be once again utilized by the series. The amount of revenue brought in by fans and teams is obviously important to any economy, but..........I've never found the races (CART, ChampCar, or IndyCar) to be all that enthralling. Chicagoland Speedway on the other hand, either on television or in person, is balls to the wall exciting and blazing fast entertainment with room to pass. I realize that drivers seem to like the track, and the venue obviously has a rich history, but for my money, the 2hr drive south, as a fan, seems to provide a heckuva lot more bang for the buck. Just one fan's humble opinion.
I agree. Milwaukee is an hour for me, Chicagoland is 3 plus but the racing at Chicagoland keeps you on the edge of your seat. Milwaukee might be a drivers track but it often is follow the leader till they pit. Glad to see them back in WI and glad to have a shorter drive but going to miss the action at Chicago. Wish they were at both! And throw in Road America...would be perfect.
Interesting to see who the Promoter is for the MM a bit different.
I couldn't agree more Eric. I'll miss Chicagoland as much as I miss Michigan. I swear we have idiots running the show, and they are trying to drive some of the fan base away. I don't buy into the schedule problem with nascab. Out of all the days we have between spring, summer, and fall, they can't find one week for Chicagoland? What we have here are idiots running the show.
Perhaps the folks running the show are former Navy...(Don't be offended Navy vets, Joe and I were Marines about a hundred years ago)
