Danica Decade on Versus Saturday March 6

1:00 midwest time--2:00 eastern time--on versus--the Decade of Danica will aire. Following this show, the 2010 season for Indy Car will aire. Too bad I have to go to a local pub, ask them to switch their tv to Versus so I can watch it! Ridiculous. I have Direct TV.

Had to go to 4 bars before I found one whose cable carried Versus--the Danica piece was well-done; the IZOD Indy Car Series piece following was interesting--glad I got to see both!

Linda, this is one of the gaping gaffes of the ISC, signing with Versus, which may as well be in Poland for all the good it good it does for accessibility.While Versus does a decent job of covering the races, it is NOT AVAILABLE to far too many people. Referring to Versus as "an obscure network" is an understatement. It makes me grateful for streaming video available from Indycar.com. At least the races are available.

I'm hearing rumors that Direct TV will soon carry Versus again--even then, you are sooooo right--I'm not sure the Indy Car Series has the time to grow with Versus--when they first came on board I was excited--like the ground floor of ESPN or SPEED; but I just don't think the series can afford to wait. Too bad; because the productions are first rate! Just another detail, Randy Bernard must address--and I don't think he has the luxury of time on this one! I do know the Lights Series had to drop the coverage--it was costing Firestone Indy Lights series one million dollars to have Versus cover their races. And very few people were watching! I admit I hate watching Indy races on my computer--so I guess I'll keep returning to the "co-operative taco restaurant with bar" when it is a Versus race--only problem is next Sunday the race starts at l0:30 a.m. midwest time from Brazil and the bar doesn't open until 11:00 a.m. Wonder who will be singing the National Anthemn?

I said from day one when they signed the contract with Versus it was a bad deal. While it seems a select few can watch the race, far to many of us can't. They need to fix this and fix it fast. As far as the Danica Decade goes. Again, they are jamming her down our throats. Is she the only driver in this series? Why not cover some of the other drivers instead of everything Danica all the time? How about covering someone who can and does actually win? If they want to cover someone who doesn't win, there are plenty of other drivers out there. The media sucks, they need someone to show them how to do their job.

Joe, the second hour of Versus covered the upcoming 2010 IZOD indy series in depth with alot of time spent covering the four red and white cars--the ones that ALWAYS WIN -- Dixon, Franchitti, Briscoe, Helio--personally I get enough of that during the year--they did show snips of Wilson, and others. The second show had alittle Danica but most was centered on the upcoming venues. Good show.
