Nice to see teams with a Penske and Tony George connections get the last 2 spots, (I need a eye rolling emoticon here), while BHA, last year's Indy 500 winning team, doesn't get anything. I thought the Indy 500 was the biggest race of the year? Not to mention the 60K the teams had to cough up to do a presentation to Indycar.
Way to go Indycar! SMH

I guess 21st and 22nd place money will be split up with the 4 or 5 highest running non Leader circle cars getting a portion of the money every races. Something like 60K if you are the highest running non-leader circle car down to 25k for 5th.
Mike Shank said something to the effect of why not split it up to the teams that didn't get picked which equates to something like 400K for the year.

But, politics being politics, I'd say if you're old enough to have been around the block a few times, you are free to draw your own conclusions....
