There are four women in this field this year. This is the order in which they qualified.
Simona De Silvestro
Danica Patrick
Pippa Mann
Ana Beatriz
How do you think they will finish?
I think it will be
Simona,
Ana,
Danica,
Pippa
in that order of women. Make your prediction and lets see who is spot on.

There is no denying that Indy is one of Danica's best tracks. Even with all the problems AA is having this month, I think she will finish highest among the ladies (not saying it will be a great finish, but highest of the women).
I think Ana will place a bit higher than Pippa just because she has one Indy under her belt and Pippa has never made a pit stop in her racing career! Getting in and out of those intimidating pits at Indy quickly is a challenge for anyone, so this will put her at a big disadvantage -- whch is unfortunate, becasue I really like Pippa and think she has some goood talent. Pippa said yesterday she hopes to avoid any "blonde" moments. She has a great sense of humor.
So, I predict it will be:
Danica
Simona
Ana
Pippa

1) Sequentially.
2) I can't imagine why I'd care.
Why do we care about gender? What's next? Blood type?
What order do you think the Type A negative drivers will finish? Oooh.
I simply don't get the driver gender fascination. I never have.

Permalink Reply by V. Kurt Bellman on May 30, 2011 at 10:26am You want to know what's even more stupid Kurt? Anyone who thinks dividing drivers by categories is stupid and pointless, but yet you reply to the question. Tell me, how can someone who thinks so much of himself be that stupid?
Oh by the way I'm not Einstein, and I also can't make prdictions worth a damn. Danica was #10, Pippa #20, Ana #21 and Simona #31
But you probably don't care since this topic was stupid and pointless to you.
Permalink Reply by V. Kurt Bellman on May 30, 2011 at 11:48am Correct. In fact, I've never understood the whole Danicamania phenomenon, even though otherwise intelligent friends suffer from the disease. Why is her gender even an issue? Why is anyone's? I work in state government for my state legislature, and we do all kinds of meaningless stupid things like resolutions that honor this and commemorate that, but when we go home, that fancy feelgoodism resolution in a leather binder solved NOTHING. It changed NOTHING. Danica has one win in her career. That's the definition of "ordinary". What, other than PC feelgoodism, makes her extraordinary in any way?
Feelings, whoa, whoa, whoa, feeeeeeelings.....
YECCCH! Ptooey!
Permalink Reply by V. Kurt Bellman on May 30, 2011 at 12:02pm Joe, I chose "blood type" in my mocking post for a reason. It isn't random. Culturally, right now Americans are obsessed by race and gender issues. It permeates everything. Obama, Hillary, etc. Even Sarah Palin, too. It's our cultural fetish du jour.
Guess what. The Japanese think blood type is fascinating. They pick mates by it. They post blood types on their dating sites. They choose votes for politicians based on it. They are culturally obsessed by blood types.
I question EVERYTHING. I hold mirrors up to silliness and point it out at every opportunity. 90% of popular culture is abjectly silly.
