We already have way to many road courses that the IRL is racing on. 2010 is no longer 50/50. There are more road courses than oval. As an oval fan, I'm not in love with the schedule or the way it's looking for oval fans.

Tell me how you divide 17 races 50/50? There is only one more road/street course than ovals in the 2010 schedule. It is not definite that Milwaukee will not be on the schedule next year. The new promoters are trying to work out the details to get the Mile back on the schedule for next year. You are making a tempest in a teapot. The IRL stated their goal was to have a 50-50 mix of ovals and road/street courses, if at all possible. They never said it was an absolute requirement.

It will be interseting to see what the road course looks like, if anyone has links or pictures, those would be welcome.
The oval/road course mix should be kept in balance, as if they add a road/street course then they should add an oval as well. It would be nice to see a 24 race schedule balanced at 12/12.
It appears that they have plenty of road/street course options, but far and few oval options.
