The place for all INDYCAR fans

In Racer Magazine's latest issue, it is written that Ryan Hunter Reay may only have a "ride" up thru May 31. What a rotten deal! Hopefully, Rahal Letterman will shake loose some of their spare change and run a car for the entire season; hire Ryan Hunter Reay, and then take on the BIG Boys. Ryan Hunter Reay is probably one of the five most talented drivers in open wheel racing--the guy deserves a full 2010 ride. Let's pony up someone!

Wilsonfan,

I couldn't agree more, RHR needs a rull time and it needs to be with AA, the guy that helped bring IZOD on board needs a full time ride!
I thought he was going to be in the 4th car at Andretti ??
II thought Ryan's deal was for a full-tme ride--apparently not according to the Racer article. If Andretti Racing can't give him a full-time ride and if Rahal Letterman step up and support a full tme ride for the entire 2010 season, I think he should be let out of any signed contract with Andretti and take the ride with Rahal--alot of if's there but Andretti didn't hve front row cars in 2009; and 2010 might be the same--so try a different, potentially winning team.
If RLR is back in the game, RHR would probably be better off with them as a single driver than in Andretti as a 4th car. Andretti would be smart to keep his car count to 3 and hope that he can figure out how to get his drivers into the rarified atmosphere occupied almost solely by the "RED" teams.
Mr. Letterman is one of the most highly paid show-bizz TV personalitys of all time, I cannot understand any reason why he cannot fork over a few million to keep the race team going? Whats up Dave? You cannot be that greedy!
Mark,
I have wondered the same thing, but it takes alot to fund a race team so its hard to tell where he thinks his money should go.
Guess David Letterman has figured out how to "take it with him" Of course, our current President is figuring out how to get it before you die and the rest upon your death. Maybe David Letterman should lend something besides his name to any Indy car effort. After all, I don't think Letterman golfs, bass fishes, bowls, etc. PART WITH IT, DAVID LETTERMAN.
Methinks the gap-toothed Hoosier putz is, like Tiger, spending vast sums on bimbo eruption control.
I'd venture that his lawyers are costing him what he used to put into funding the racing team.
