Learning about Ray

I'm writing a book about the first Indianapolis 500-mile race, in 1911, to be published next year by Simon and Schuster. I've already done considerable research on the subject, but I'm wondering if anyone in this group might be provide me with colorful interesting details about Ray Harroun that might not be common knowledge.
