Thanks Gilbert. I look forward to getting involved. I've been a passionate racing car fan since I was six years old when my older brothers took me to Watkins Glen for the first time. I hope we see a re-kindling of the popularity of Indy Car racing over the next few years. It will be a lot of fun to be a part of it.

Welcome Damien:  As founder of this group and The PHOENIX INN, I hope you have fun here. I might suggest joining the PI as it seems to be a more free-wheeling bunch and we often discuss cars and such there too.

I Just saw the new concept designs for next years cars. They span from really great to geek "Speed Racer". The one design that was featured during the Versus broadcast yesterday was starting to look way too much like the current prototype sports car!

The re-design of the chassis is a great idea however because I believe we as open wheel racing fans love 2 things about the cars: design and speed. The design of the cars since the end of CART circa mid 90"s has been awful. The speed, lame as well. If INDY CAR can find the balance of great, exotic design with cars that go faster than the ones they have now, it will go a long way to bringing back fans like myself who lost interest in American open wheel racing in 1996.

Just got your greeting...no flaming or we get kicked out?? I'm a weldor and metal fabricator and work with heat, flames and electric arcs every day...does this mean I'm not eligible to join?

Hey Everyone: This is intended to be a fun site to discuss tecnical stuff like: engines, suspensions, chassis designs, aero.., tires, strategy, well you get the picture. We will also talk about the absurd, the idiotic, and odd bits of history and trivia pertaining to OWR, both here and abroad. I hope we can have fun here.
