My wife has only been hooked on open-wheel for the last 7-8 seasons or so, and I'm always telling her what a great place MIS is. Be great if the track and IndyCar could get together and give your backyard track another chance. I havent been there since the ill-conceived US 500 after the split. Once the split happened I stayed with ChampCar and tried to ignore the IRL unless one or more of our guys ran Indy. Glad there is 1 series again! Take care!!

Would love to see big-time open wheel return to Michigan. Since you live in that area, do you happen to have a feel for why we havent run there in so long? I'm assuming the owners of the track campaign each season-what have you heard? Why the heck is IndyCar nt racing at one of the country's finest facilities?
