Is it racing season yet???

Thanks Jen, it is so good to see that little town coming back.  Last time I went through there was nothing but rubble.  You can't see it in the picture, but that train was blown off the track in two directions.  The tornado was so big (2.5 miles wide) one side blew the train of in one direction, the other side did the reverse.  It looked like an "S".  Unbelieveable.

hello Jen. This was my seats last year and there is a trick to getting to watch the race from here. You have to hold on to your hat and pay atttention, not for the wimpy fan.. the vis starts out with a yellow and green flag starts at about 3.20 into the vid. Already got my tickets for the 2009 500. I wouldn't miss it for anything. Last year there was an F-3 tornado about 20 miles from my house while I was at Indy--and I didn't mind missing it at all. Let me know if you can make it--I grew up in Indy and I know a bunch of cool places to eat. I'd love to meet you in person :-)

That's cool! I had no idea WE was running those still. Not that you would have noticed, but in that episode, when we catch the little twister that became the Greensburg monster, I am wearing a "vintage" #16 Danica baseball cap. Our group would always laugh at that--they called it Peggy's Racing Hat. They said whenever I put that on it meant fasten your seat belts!! And it's true, we had to drive at least 90 mph to get to that storm on time. The producer nearly peed his West Coast pants.

How are things in The Cave? I haven't looked at Talkback for awhile--ever since Ernest decided Helio was guilty without trial. That guy totally pisses me off.

Hey Redaunt.... boy did you get EQ's knickers in a twist. He basically called you everything but a white woman. I got to looking through the "Give us your suggestions to improve Talkback' thread. Right there on post #45 he says that in order to post on the board everyone should be required to register. Talk about a hypocirte! His commment about the majority of registered users on Talkback not responding to your post is specious. I did a quick look on the member pages and a huge number of people have not posted since Dec 2007. Where does he get off on that claim? Oh well, It was nice to see OldWrench again. I sure would like to get him into Tech, Trivia and OWR History.

Thanks for the note. I just dont get Indycar.com. The cave regulars were civil, and then people like Maxx and danipoo (who I believe may have been Max) come in and they shut it down. I did flag his bastard child note as innapropriate, but how are they going to nail someone who doesnt register? I may have to find another way to communicate with you guys because I am pretty honked off they shut it down again too. But honestly, I dont spend much time at night on the computer because that is my family time. I dont do the breakfast club because there are to many Helmet polishers there and I am sure it wouldnt take me long to honk all of them off, so I am not sure where I will go. I may chat with RIP a little and see what he plans to do. I dont know if I'll head bacl to Talkback or not. I may give this garage thing a try, but I will have to spend a little time and get comfortable on it. Give Sophie some hugs...
