I'm sure it was 90% women of the 40 deep. Women will follow a woman racing in a man's world. Ovals are a piece of cake to drive. Does that tell you anything? Try shifting 20 - 30 times a lap and see how you do. This why Nascar when they brag about h…
I just started getting into this whole car racing thing this year, and after watching two races, I was already sick of hearing about her. People can badmouth and say that there are those that do not root for her just because she is female..... Now i…
Sorry folks but this Danica thing has been a sham from day one,I dont care if there is a woman out there that can actually drive but this woman was never the one, couple that with Indycar hyping her to the max you would have thought she was the only…
Don, I don't know if any of this is going to cost Danica a ride. But lets face the facts. People want their drivers to win. That's something Danica has not done...accept one that was a gift from Helio. Sooner or later people will get tired of spendi…
Wilsonfan, I know you're a huge Danica fan and probably don't like what I have to say about her, but I don't agree with you 100% either. To answer your question about the other drivers. I have stated many many times I can't stand the fact that these…
She was looking real good until the backmarker turned down on her. Unfortunately for some, she will be around for a very long time. On marketability alone. She was a racer long before the hoopla and she is still racing today and is the only North Am…
Danica is the current "Bright Shiny Object" in N-Word. The reality is she is not performing where it counts - on the track. She made it into the Las Vegas race only because her owner burned up some points from last season to buy her way in. The only…
Joe, sure it is about money--Danica came from a stable, middle income background--every extra dollar went into Danica's karting pursuits. And, isn't this Capitalistic society all about money? Were you that upset when Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Dave…
Hello: I hope you have a good day. Quad Cities huh?. Some of my uncles and my grandfather went to school at Palmer School of Chiropractic (now Palmer College). Please come and join us at Tech, Trivia, and OWR History on this site. We try to have fun. Cheers. Grey Mouser
Hey,Linda!nice meeting you finally!did you get a room?we went to our room and collapsed.long day at the track on sat.loved the track, and will probably be on our schedule for next year.
Linda, is that you hiding behind the Wilson? FYI/FWIW, there is a thread at Indycar.com for and about you. Those of us who appreciate your knowledgeable post sover there miss you. I have not been on IndyCar Garage much but on indycar.com. We'd sure like to see you back. Best regards.
Never did Rock Island. Wouldn't mind doing it though. I gave up racing in Sept. '05 (Injuries/college)...but finished 2nd in the Great Lakes region and top-ten nationwide in SKUSA ICC. I raced against guys like G. Rahal, T. Schecketer, and a bunch of the Indy Lights and Atlantic drivers.
Yea, that's me in every pic on my page...it's a 125cc ICC five speed. My profile pic is New Castle (IN), the other tracks pictured would be Grattan (MI), Beaverun (PA), and Barber Motorsports Park (AL).
Hi Linda, Yes, I really like it hear - lived here since 1977 - after my divorce in 1994 I purchased a home close to the track. I park cars in my lot for all the races - at least it pays my property taxes. It is a great place to live. Speedway actually is a seperate town from Indianapolis. We have are own school system, fire and police. The actual Indianapolis motor Speedway is located in the City of Speedway, not Indianapolis. We are beginning a major renovation of the area around the Motor Speedway (big changes) and should be completed in a couple of years - big news around here. Nice talking with you - respond anytime. People from Iowa are always welcome in Speedway
Nascar has 2 MEGA events here in Phx, spring and fall. Can't really race here in summer, so any other race would have to be close to Nascar. Might be tough to pull off.
Phoenix is my favorite. I attended my first race there in '97. Tony Stewart, Arie Lyendyke, Roberto Guerrero. I also attended the last race there in 2005. Danica's second race in IRL. Phoenix gave the teams an idea how they looked on the flat tracks…
