I agree that Cub's fans and Foyt fans have a lot in common, and I still pull for the both of them! I realize that A .J . loves his grandson, and will probably give Anthony anything within his power, but why did he start the boy at the top? Why did h…

AJ and the internet

First off, I just finished watching the Texas race on "timing and scoring". I was happily watching and listening to the race on the Indycar feed. But...

I had a brief power hit that knocked my computers offline. When I rebooted, I went back to the feed, but no joy. It would not load. Just sat there making clicking noises. So, the only thing I could get to was the T@S. Sucks. I have no idea how or when Briscoe lost the lead.

Folks in the Indycar forums posted links to JustinTV, but I couldn't f… Continue

CART II

I sometimes read on different racing threads around the web, that the open wheel "hayday" was in the early 90's. I am not sure I agree with that. I guess it all comes from your perspective.

I followed NASCAR and Indy cars when I was a kid, and it was no easy task. NASCAR didn't even make the local sports report on any of my 3 whole hometown channels. Indy cars weren't much better off, but when the 500 came around, everybody was paying attention. This was the 70's, and Indy car had drivers with… Continue

I have been a fan of A.J. since I was 10 years old and I used to go with my folks to see him run at Texas World Speedway. Being from Houston, I was able to go to his Chevy dealership and meet him. That's what the pictures are of that I have have posted.

That being said, I can't understand why year after year, every weekend, they can't get a handle on setting up the car. The IRL is over 10 years old and A.J. is one of the originals. It would seem that they should have some pretty good data on mo… Continue

Chicago offers some of the most exciting racing of the season as IndyCars will usually race two to three wide and the finishes are the close as ever. Briscoe edged Dixon in 2009.
