Indianapolis 500 Pre-Race Chills
What has been your favorite pre-race activity, event, song or guest before any 500? List the year! Before, this year, mine was the Blackhawks the flew over at the conclusion of General Cody's speech in 2006. Now, it was General Peter W. Chiarelli's speech itself that replaced that moment. My Favorite 500 Memory

I think my favorite IndyCar memory will be a little different than most. I have many friends who didn't grow up around Indy and attending the Indy 500. Most of them just don't get it, when it comes to why the 500 is so great. My best memory has to be finally convincing one of my best friends to come to the race with me.

It almost feels surreal there is an IndyCar race this weekend.
I have spent many weekends asking myself, why aren't there more races? Why aren't the races moved up to be on back to back weekends. Then I realized, if that were the case, I wouldn't have this "Super Bowl" type feeling in my stomach every time a lonely IndyCar-less weekend ends and a glorious IndyCar week begins. The time in between the races almost gives the sport a little more mystique, a little more prestige. I am… Continue
