I think short-track races could be very exciting, but the current regulatory environment prevents the teams from putting racy and competitive cars on the track. Last year's Iowa race was pretty good, and Richmond in the past has been fantastic, as...
Sometimes a picture is worth MORE than a thousand words. This pic does a masterful job and capturing one of the biggest problems the teams and drivers faced last Saturday.

I agree F1 is in seriously dire straights, and where I can see some drivers making their way over to the ICS, I just can't see it with Button. I won't be surprised to see Sato or Bourdais next year, and in the next five years, Fisichella or Nakaji...

I think the Flint Hills area, including the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, has some of the most beautiful scenery in the US. My favorite place is Strong City. Oh, and I like Kansas Speedway too!

- Glad you like it! That picture was taken in Iowa, one of several tornadoes we saw that day. I don't know how "professional" we are, but we do forecast and chase storms for a living: http://www.twistersisters.com. My undergraduate degree was in Biochemistry but I went to graduate school for Meteorology. Check out our website, there are some pretty cool storms on there :-).
