Hi guys,i recently ran across a image of the DeltaWing project car and i was absolutly awsome.Read about the complete progeam and i gotta say its about time. When I was a kid in the 60s i loved watching open wheel but long about mid 1990s the cars were becoming like cookie cutter cars and engines as well, subsquently I lost intrest in open wheel. To me the essence of indy car racing is inovation, new designs, pushing the envolope so to speak.I truly believe that this car would be giant step towards… Continue

RaceFan Patrick Carpentier

Never really heard why he gave up on IndyCar so early, but:

Canadian driver Patrick Carpentier says he will retire after the NASCAR Nationwide Series race next month at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. "It's been a few years that I've thought about it," Carpentier told QMI Agency. "I discussed it with my wife. We talked about my situation on several occasions and I came to the conclusion that I must move on. I remember when I was speed skating. When I decided it was over, it…

RaceFan Why no money won list in IndyCar?

Other than the Indy 500, race payout and money won is never listed. Is Dan Wheldon the leading money winner in IndyCar having only run one race? Carl Edwards leads in NASCAR with one win and $5,037,194 in winnings, after 16 starts,  how does IndyCar payout compare? Are they still using the same system of a few yeas ago when every starting car was paid the same.

Anyone know how much IZOD pays to be a title sponsor?
