The place for all INDYCAR fans

First off, I just finished watching the Texas race on "timing and scoring". I was happily watching and listening to the race on the Indycar feed. But...

I had a brief power hit that knocked my computers offline. When I rebooted, I went back to the feed, but no joy. It would not load. Just sat there making clicking noises. So, the only thing I could get to was the T@S. Sucks. I have no idea how or when Briscoe lost the lead.

Folks in the Indycar forums posted links to JustinTV, but I couldn't find it there either. I refuse to spend an extra 50 bucks or whatever to add Versus to my cable lineup.

Maybe AJ was on to something when he smashed his computer. I love the internet. I work in the industry, but I would not trust my life to it. Some people do. My company has hospitals as customers that use the internet during surgery!

I can't get an internet feed to watch a race, and Obama wants to put the entire country's medical records on there. I guess I'm saying that I think we are getting to dependant on the web and computers.

Speaking of AJ. Another dismal performance from the team in perpetual "improvement" mode. Now I know what a Cubs fan feels like. Of course being a Houston sports fan, I'm used to rooting for losers. Quatro hits the wall again. I think that caused the last caustion and may have hosed Briscoe out of his win. I'm not sure about that though.

My question would be, why would you take a bad car and put a bad driver in it? I like IV. I even quit going to Greatclips when they screwed him out of his Nascar ride, but I don't think he has the talent at the Indycar level.

I don't know what happened with Tracy, maybe he was to expensive, or realized that he would not be competative in the 14. But there are alot of unemployed shoes in the IRL right now, and I don't think IV is the way to go. If you are struggling with the car, you can't expect a guy who has never sat in a well prepared, competative racecar to provide any feedback on which way to go.

But even if you got the car right, there is the weekly mistake(s) in the pits. At Indy, Vitor runs out of gas AND catches the car on fire all in tha same race! (not his fault) That put him directly in the position to get into that wreck. I think that is why Danica (not a fan) manages to finish races. She stays in the top 10 and out of the trouble that you get into running with backmarkers.

So another year, a new driver, new engineers and same old result. He needs to get another car in that stable or merge with another team. I'm still rootin' for them though.

I agree that Cub's fans and Foyt fans have a lot in common, and I still pull for the both of them! I realize that A .J . loves his grandson, and will probably give Anthony anything within his power, but why did he start the boy at the top? Why did he not start with Midgets, then Sprints, then Dirt Champ Cars, then on to Indy Lites, and finally the IRL! Thats Old School, Indy tradition. Just having a famous last name, cannot make you a great race car driver, just ask King Richard.
